Safeguarding

If it is not right, we do not do it.

Draft for review. This page is a working draft and must be reviewed by a solicitor before Pietas goes live. Safeguarding wording should also be checked against current statutory guidance.

Children's safety comes before speed or convenience. No carer is introduced until checks are complete and a person on our team has reviewed them.

IThe checks we plan

Who checks what

Pietas is a technology provider. It does not run regulated checks itself; licensed partners do.

  1. I

    Enhanced DBS checks

Every provider who works directly with children must have a current enhanced DBS check. A licensed partner carries it out or verifies it, including through the Update Service where it applies.

  2. II

    Ofsted registration

We read nurseries' and childminders' registration and latest inspection from Ofsted's public register, and partners confirm registration for nannies where it applies.

  3. III

    References

Licensed partners collect and verify references (number TBC) before anyone is introduced.

  4. IV

    Human review

Software never approves a provider or a match on its own. A trained person reviews every approval, and every concern goes straight to a person.

Pietas does not currently hold any accreditation or certification. Policies are in draft. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
